In the recently concluded BLM Christmas Gift Giving last December 11, 2010, not only were gifts distributed, a set of Collier’s Encyclopedia and children’s books were also turned over to the Lepanto National High School and were gratefully received by Mam Merlyn O. De Guzman, a teacher of LNHS.
The Collier’s Encyclopedia books were personally donated by none other than the generous BLM Godparent, Slazh. Believing that these books would be of greater help in its new home, none other than the library of the school, he thought of giving it to the LNHS, where his heart is closest to.
This gesture then paved the way to the birth of another BLM project “Libro mo, Basahin ko” which was launched on December 13, 2010. This project aims to collect used and unused books to be distributed to the different schools in Lepanto and the neighboring schools. The campaign for this project has already been initiated.
Should there be kind hearted souls out there with books lying around that they would like to donate, please contact us at Mobile No. +639281895543, +639155043539 or send email to slazh@batanglepanto.com.
For Lepanto residents, you can hand your used books to Mam Merlyn O. De Guzman at LNHS or to any of our BLM Officials.
For Baguio City residents, you can text or email us to give you the nearest Delivery Point in Baguio City or we will arrange for someone to pick up the books from your place.
For OFWs and other Donors, please contact us so we can give you the address where you can send your package.
My dear friends, one used-book that you share to us will benefit thousands of children in LNHS, LES, Marivic, Sapid and other nearby schools in Lepanto to improve develop their skills and knowledge. Let us put your old books to productive use for these children.
Thank you once again for all your support.
